Camp Terms & Policies

By enrolling yourself or your child in the GameSalad Game Creation Camps (the “Program”), provided by GameSalad, Inc. (the “Company”), you understand that you or your child’s participation in the Program is voluntary and that as a condition of
such participation, you agree to comply with all Program requirements including, but not limited to: (a) accurately
completing all forms in a timely manner; (b) familiarizing yourself with, or ensuring that your child is aware of the
Program’s standards of conduct for an online learning environment; and (c) immediately notifying the Program
Administrator of any concerns related to the health, safety or security of yourself, your child, other participants, or Program
staff.

Accounts and General Terms & Policies

Accounts created for the Program follow the same terms and privacy policies as for the GameSalad service generally. Accounts owners must be over the age of 13. Child of all ages may use GameSalad if enabled by a parent or legal guardian.

GameSalad terms and policies apply in the case an applicable policy is not present on this page.

You agree not to share your account login information or information related to sessions with others.

Account username and avatars may be publicly displayed. We suggest parents guide their children to choose usernames that do not reveal any personally identifiable information.

Refunds

All sales are final. GameSalad will have sole discretion to consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis and determine refunds. Should a camper violate behavioral guidelines during a camp session, the Company may end participation in the Program with no refund.

Video and Audio Recording

Camp sessions will be recorded for use by enrolled attendees and to maintain a record of all interactions. If you participate in a virtual camp session with a computer or mobile device camera engaged or utilizing a profile image, you consent to have your our your child’s video or image recorded. If you are unwilling to have your profile or video image recorded, or that of your child, you will ensure your camera is disabled during the virtual camp session and no profile image is used.

Likewise, if you or your child intends to un-mute your computer or mobile device during a virtual camp session and participate orally, you consent to have your voice recorded, or that of your child. If you are unwilling to have your voice recorded, or that of your child, you will ensure that your computer or mobile device is muted and you or your child will communicate exclusively using the “chat” feature.

Consent for Use of Recordings

You understand the use of your camera and/or microphone during a virtual camp session is optional. However, by enabling the use of your camera and/or microphone during a virtual camp session, on behalf of yourself or your child, you hereby expressly grant permission to the Company to record and publish audio files, photographs, and video footage in which you or your child appear, and to use such recorded content for current and future camp sessions.

Furthermore, on behalf of yourself or your child, you hereby waive any rights of compensation and ownership with respect to such recorded content, and you forever discharge and release the Company, including its employees, officers, agents, students, and other persons acting under its authority, from all claims and causes of action, liabilities, and damages arising out of the use of audio recordings, photographs, or video footage, including but not limited to claims for invasion of privacy or misrepresentation.

You understand that through your use, or through permitting your child’s use of a camera and/or microphone during a virtual
camp session, you will be offering my implied consent to the use of such recordings for this Program.

Other Privacy Consideration

When Program participants engage with the program, they may reveal personal information. You understand that in addition to video and audio record, information you reveal via chat or in your username may be visible to others and you will be responsible for any information you reveal. The Company is not responsible for information revealed intentionally or unintentionally by participants and, you forever discharge and release the Company, including its employees, officers, agents, students, and other persons acting under its authority, from all claims and causes of action, liabilities, and damages arising out of information revealed by the camper.

Third Party Software

You acknowledge that the Company may utilize third party services providers to provide online resources that will be used as part of the Program and that such third party service providers may collect information about you and your child. If you are the parent or legal guardian of a participating child, you hereby approve your child’s use of the listed software applications under the terms proviced by the software application provider, and you agree to create your own personal software application account or download a copy of the software application for such purposes. You agree to supervise your child’s use of any such software application to the extent appropriate. You further agree that the Company shall not be responsible nor liable for the performance of such software applications, nor for the actions of the software provider(s).
